Kalachakra Graz 2002

Links

The centre was opened in 1995. During the consecration ceremony it was given the name of She Drup Ling, Place of Teaching and Practice by His Holiness the XIVth Dalai Lama. She Drup Ling Graz follows the Tibetan buddhist tradition, however, it welcomes buddhists of all traditions and everyone interested in a spiritual path.
She Drup Ling Graz offers courses in yoga and meditation, lectures and seminars on buddhist teachings and practice, as well as Tibetan buddhist rituals.

From 1995 – 1998 the centre was responsible for the construction of the peace stupa at Graz Volksgarten. The stupa was consecrated in 1998 by H.H. the Dalai Lama on the occasion of his second visit to Graz.

In 2002 the buddhist centre She Drup Ling was commissioned by the city council of Graz to organize the Kalachakra for World Peace Graz 2002.

She Drup Ling Graz as well as the Kalachakra Kalapa Center at Garanas are run by the non-profit Association for the Promotion of Buddhist Values. The Association promotes buddhist values, first of all wisdom, compassion towards all sentient beings, and the development of bodhicitta.
