Lecture: How to recognise a Buddhist?

Buddhism encompasses a great variety of traditions, practices, rituals and philosophical tenets. Two elements, however, are practised in all Buddhist traditions and countries: refuge to the Three Jewels and four philosophical statements known as the Four Seals. This lecture will shed light on these two elements that identify a Buddhist and serves as an introduction to the weekend seminar.

There will be plenty of room for questions and discussion.

The topic will be continued in the weekend seminar "What is the importance of refuge for 21st century westerners?", Sat 20 – Sun 21 January >>
