Ways of Buddhist practice (in German)

Lecture for those who want to learn more about the following topics:

The various historical Buddhist movements evolved from one another, but can also be seen as independent ways of thinking.

The oldest texts (Pali canon) and traditions (Theravada) favour a life of renunciation.

The teachings of the mahayana (the Great Vehicle) stress the development of unconditional love and compassion.

The latest development, tantric Buddhism (Vajrayana), is also called the "fast" or diamond vehicle. It offers individual ways of practice that strongly depend on the relationship to a spiritual teacher (lama).

The lecture will close with a short meditation.

It is recommended to attend all lectures. However, beginners are always welcome!
