Tara Retreat (ends with Tara night!)

Arya Tara is the liberator and protector from all fears. She helps us to remove obstacles against the development of our potential and contributes to the success of our projects.

We conclude the retreat with a Tara Night on 18 July—practitioners not taking part in the retreat are also welcome to participate!

Our practice is part of the Kriya Tantra. Therefore we begin each day by taking the eight Mahayana vows. Though not compulsory, keeping these vows supports our practice.

We will practise a sadhana of the 21 emanations of Green Tara according to the tradition of master Atisha.

A basic knowledge of Buddhist teachings and practice, faith in the Three Jewels, and especially the wish to reach enlightenment for the benefit of all beings are prerequisites for participation.

If you plan to take part for the first time, pease contact our office.
Participation on individual days is possible according to prior agreement.

Exemplary schedule

We will hold 4 session per day reciting the sadhana and the mantras of the 21 Taras. Some sessions start with 30 minutes of quiet meditation.
Every morning we take the 8 Mahayana vows, i.e. we refrain from killing, stealing, lying, no sexual activity, no music, jewellery or perfume, no use of high chairs or beds, only one meal per day (lunch), no use of drugs. Taking and keeping these vows supports this Kriyatantra-practice, it is, however, not compulsory.
