The way of the Buddha: steps to awakening

Depending on the interests and capabilities of his listeners Buddha Shakyamuni gave many different teachings. Over the centuries great masters shaped them into a system called the "stages of the path". This enables the practitioner to study the fundamental topics of Buddhism step by step. In his lecture Stephan Pende will show us where to begin and which topics should better be handled at a later time.

The lecture is the start of the study programme "Discovering Buddhism", which follows these gradual steps to awakening. It is a good opportunity to get an overview over the contents of this programme.

The topic will be continued in the weekend seminar with Stephan Pende Wormland "The mind and its potential", Sat 24 – Sun 25 September >>
