Kalapa Care designates a working and meditation retreat. We train in combining mindful activities with spiritual practice. We begin and conclude the day with body exercises and meditation. While pursuing our inner spiritual practice, we outwardly maintain and refurbish Kalachakra Kalapa Center for the well-being of its visitors.

What does Mindful Working mean?
Mindful Woking basically denotes everyday chores, such as cooking, cleaning, gardening, helping to paint the rooms, doing repair work, mounting or removing the winter protection of the stupa (» picture gallery) etc. Contrary to ordinary daily routine, however, we try to be aware of things that usually escape our attention.
Can I choose the work I will be doing?
Yes. We recommend to begin with tasks you like doing. After a while try to undertake a job that you like less and observe how your attitude towards this activity will get changed through working mindfully.
What is the fee for a Mindful Working retreat?
Participation is free. Board & lodging will be provided.
Where does the Mindful Working retreat take place?
At Kalachakra Kalapa Center, at Garanas 41 near Bad Schwanberg, southwestern Styria. Surrounded by pastures and forests at 1000 m above sea level, with a magnificent view and fresh air.
