From 26th July to 14th August 2004 the second summer camp took place at Kalachakra Kalapa Center!

Up to 17 volunteers met at Kalachakra Kalapa Center in order to do karma yoga as well as formal buddhist practice.
Our goal was to prepare the center for retreats and courses.
We were especially lucky to have Christian with us, a most gifted craftsman. Compentent in all fields he was able to find a solution for every problem. Therefore we proceeded very fast and it comes close to a miracle how much we achieved during these three weeks.
A wonderful large yoga hall was created:


The dining hall was basically completed. Additional bathrooms were installed.

The corridor on the 1st floor was painted and furnished...

 ...the signs above the door were put up...

  


...the old wooden benches were newly painted,

the flagpole in front of the house was painted,

all the windows were repaired...

...the connecting wing was whitewashed...
...the paving in front of the house was cleaned and the gaps filled with mortar...

...a drainage was laid into the trench next to the large terrace...
  ...the stupa was cleaned...
...the grass around the house needed a cut... ...we also relaxed in front of the splendid view...
    
...welcomed visitors and enjoyed the delicious vegetarian meals!
  In the mornings and evenings there was 1 hour of formal practice in the gompa.

  

A heartfelt thank you to all participants and to the Buddhas who supported us!

Our project, however, is still far from being finished. We need more time, financial support, perseverance, energy and patience – an excellent opportunity to practice the six perfections/paramitas. We cordially invite you to continue supporting this wonderful project and thereby contribute to providing many people with a place of refuge.
